He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Massie and Mary Massie (Bowen); and his sister Norma Grace Massie. He is survived by : his wife Alma Massie (Wilson); his children, Joshua Massie (April) and Deborah Dulaney (James); his grandchildren, Katelynn D. Massie, Aiden G. Massie, Jade Dulaney and Ryder Dulaney; and his siblings, Harvey Massie, Rachel Fellars, Ruth Gardener, Eve Gillum and Velvie McKenzie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson (28 Harding Ave, Jackson, OH 45640). The military honors was held on Monday, March 18th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
