He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Richards and Joan Richards; his former wife Carol Jean Richards (Johnson); his son Braden Richards; his stepson Michael Dill; and his siblings-in-law, Don Scarlett, Wilma Hagely and Fay Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Dill Richards; his siblings, Sherry Scarlett (Don) and Lon Richards; his siblings-in-law, John Hagely and Carol Walsh; his children, Brian Richards (Kristine Swick), Brent Richards (Mary Beth) and Brenda Freiheit (Alan); his daughter-in-law Beth Leach (Chuck); his grandchildren, Bailey Lang (Seth), Brianne Benn (Patrick), Braden Richards, Jr., Zach, Zane, Quinn Richards and Sophia Freiheit; and his stepson Kevin Dill (Marilyn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and cousins.
