He was predeceased by: his father Earl Mercer; his grandson Adam Mercer; and his daughter-in-law Renee Mercer. He is survived by: his wife Roxie Mercer (Hood); his children, Pamela Evans (Jim Hickey), Lori Schaffner (Bruce) and David Mercer; his granddaughters, Hannah Kitts and Holly Hickey; his great grandchildren, Addison Hickey, Ace Hickey and Rowdy Kitts; and his brother John Mercer.
