She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Riegel and Ruth Riegel (Deemer); her husband Dr. Joel S. Poetker; her son Samuel Robert Poetker; her brothers, Stewart Riegel and Paul Riegel; her mother-in-law Wanda Poetker; and her grandson-in-law Scott Carter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Johnson (E. W.) of Louisville, KY and Ann Hardin (Cliff) of Richmond, VA; her daughter-in-law Carol Anderson Poetker of Jackson; her grandchildren, Morgan Vihlidal of Louisville, KY, Ashley McKiernan (Shaun) of Louisville, KY, Courtney Carter of Louisville, KY, Daniel Hardin (Tarrah) of Brandenburg, KY., Emily Hardin of Orlando, FL and Alexander Poetker (Erin) of Jackson, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Joel McKiernan, Jacob McKiernan, Henry Vihlidal, Logan Vihlidal, Jackson Hardin, Wyatt Hardin, Caroline Hardin, Declan Poetker and Davis Poetker; her sisters-in-law, Pat Riegel and Patty Riegel; and her cousin Marsha Perry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
