She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry McDonnell and Della McDonnell; and her brothers, Marvin and Gerald McDonnell. She is survived by : her husband Melvin Nichols; her children, Phyllis Howard of Groveport, Phillip Arbaugh of Jackson and Catherine Merritt of Jackson; her grandchildren, Heath Arbaugh, Dawn Olzenak, Megan Howard, Roger Merrett II and Alicia Daniel; her great grandchildren, April LaMay, Andrea Arbough, Rebecca Bourne, Scott Marcum, Roger Merrett III and Joseph Merrett; and her great great grandchildren, Emily, Ahri and Hailey Bourne.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home (135 Broadway St, Jackson, OH 45640). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
