It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mollie Ann (Brown) Wertz of Jackson, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Brown and William "Dick" Brown; and her grandson William Joseph "Jay" Spires. She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Katherine Cook (Scot) and Jennifer Lynn Spires; her grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Cook, Nea Nicole Cook and Joshua Daniel Spires; her brother Charles D. Brown; her sister-in-law Rebecca; and her nieces, Katie Brown and Erin Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Football Mother's Club in memory of William "Jay" Spires or to the Jackson Roundball Club.
