It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert C. Pfendler of Jackson, Ohio, born in Massillon, Ohio, who passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Pfendler and Rita Pfendler (Deck); his wife Jane Elizabeth Pfendler (Crowe); his brother Cullen R. Pfendler; and his son Robert James Pfendler.

He is survived by: his children, Christopher Charles Pfendler (Sarah), Jennie Ann Dieter (Kevin) and David Michael Pfendler; his grandchildren, Kathryne Leigh Walker (Justin), Lucas Scott Dieter, Hannah Dieter (Monica), Andrew Charles Pfendler (Morgan) and John Charles Pfendler; his great grandchildren, Astrid Jane Walker, Emerson Simone Dieter and Ada Mae Dieter; his daughter-in-law Debra Pfendler; and his friend Maggie Denman.

I lieu of flowers, Robert requested that those who wish could make a donation to the charity of their choice.

Reading his obituary brought back memories of his stories about his family life and activities with his children. I hope to be at his service, but have kidney dialysis the day of his calling hours.
