He is survived by: his children, Eddie, BJ Blackburn, Christy, James Doxsee and Amanda; his grandchildren, Hannah Smith (Chris), Josh Blackburn (Paige), Erica Tackett, Seth Tackett, Zach Doxsee, Andrea Deck (Curtis), Christian Miller and Dessie Jane Miller; his great grandchildren, Elaina, Carter Smith, Stetson Blackburn, Louis Patterson, Maverick Jones, Haisley Tackett, Tempie and Zeke Deck; and his sisters, Elsie Saunders of Florida and Stella Bachtel of Jackson County, Ohio..

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Paul's Chapel Cemetery (522 OH-776, Jackson, OH 45640).
