He was predeceased by: his father Russell. He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his daughters, Audrey, Gretchen Wendell (Patrick) and Marijo Sherrill (Max); his grandchildren, Levi Wendell, Jack Wendell, Henry Wendell and Iona Sherrill; his mother Pat Wagner; his siblings, Terry Miller (Lisa) and Sandy Machamer (Mike); and his nephews, Austin, Brennan Miller and Jacob Machamer. He is also survived by animals, especially each of our many dog "children".

Rusty and Marianne were deeply affected by the dismal failure early on to acknowledge the Covid-19 crisis and to harness the USA's great wealth of brainpower, technology, and medical/social services to minimize the pandemic's effect.

Rusty's fervent wish was that in lieu of flowers, generous contributions be made in his memory to the Calvary Mission Meat Fund in care of Church of the Lakes at 5944 Fulton Dr. NW; Canton OH 44718.
