She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Howard and Patricia Mapes Howard. She is survived by : her husband Ted Penix; her children, Brian Sayre (Angela), Bethany, Kris Penix, Julie Sayre (Josh Preston) and David Sayre (Allison); her grandchildren, Morgan Sayre, Logan Sayre (Adry Abreu), Griffan Sayre, Lily Penix, Luke Penix, Mason McGhee, Landon McGhee, Weston McGhee, Evan Burroughs, John Sayre, Aubrey Sayre, Lauren Sayre and Kate Sayre; her brothers, David Howard (Karen) and Joseph Howard; and her nieces, Michelle Landrum, Missy Shasteen and Mimi Montalto.

“So sorry for your loss. Sally was fun to be around. We were sorority sisters and I was in her wedding. I remember her taking an iron and ironing board and she was straightening her hair! Long before straighteners were made. She was always happy and loved her kids. She will be missed. Barb Eisenzimmer Brothers”
