He was predeceased by: his father Alfred; and his brother Ronald Yingling. He is survived by: his wife Patricia McAfee; his sons, Steve, Mark (Teri) and Craig (Deborah); his stepchildren, Karla Holland (Jeffrey) and Kevin McAfee (Samantha); and his sister-in-law Ann Harty. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Meals on Wheels and the Akron-Canton Foodbank.
