We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2023, at the age of 83, Lydia Hammel of Jamestown, Ohio, born in Dayton, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Carpenter and Thelma Alice Carpenter (Willison); her husband Robert E. Hammel; and her sons, David Johnson and John Jackson.
She is survived by : her children, Denise Oliver (Scott) of London, OH, Carol Litmer (Scott) of Beavercreek and Doug Johnson (Marcia) of Galena, OH; her stepsons, James J. Hammel (Donna) of Dimondale, MI and Charles Slone of Jamestown; and her sister Alice Faye Grover of Eaton, OH. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
