Marilyn J. Oakes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2025, at the age of 96, Marilyn J. Oakes of Jamestown, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H Wilson and Alice P Wilson; her son Robert Hartley Oakes (Kempton Oakes); and her brother Donald Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Ronald L. Oakes of Jamestown, OH and Kathy Wright of Madisonville, TN; her sister-in-law Carol Wilson of Bellville, OH; her daughter-in-law Patricia Anne Oakes of Jamestown, OH; and her granddaughters, Amy Pitarro (Wright), Kristi Watson (Wright), Erika Clark (Wright), Alesha Hagemeyer (Oakes) and Adrienne Linville (Oakes). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Bellville Butler Chapel (81 Mill Rd, Bellville, OH 44813). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Committee, McComb Church of Christ, 400 Ackerly Street, McComb, OH 45858.
