With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert R. Roach of Jamestown, Ohio, born in Xenia, Ohio, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert R. Roach to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Sarah Roach (Sheley) and Merell "Curley" Roach; his brother Douglas; his sister-in-law Stephanie Roach of Bellbrook; his nieces, Stacey Day (Paul) and Shannon Geilenfeldt (Garth); and his great-nieces, Maddie, Landen and Delaney.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic restrictions, social distancing and masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the community charities of Jamestown, specifically Jamestown Cancer Care, the Historical Society or the Food Pantry in his memory.

“Bob was a force in many of our lives. He lived fully and with care. In high school he was very successful in the classroom and in sports. He played football, basketball and Baseball. He would often take underclassmen under his wing to help them get better. Coaches loved Bob as in many cases was a coach on the field. Bob had deep knowledge in the rules of all of the sports he played. Bob was not the most athletic player but he often made this up with his sports intelligence. Rest well Bob!”

“In loving memory of Robert R. Roach, Someone so special will not be forgotten. Bob will be forever remembered for the work he did for Greeneview schools. I Coached two sports for him. . He was a friend and a co worker. The amount of work he did for our teams was above and beyond his job description. I can’t begin to tell you the things he did for all the teams during his tenure at Greeneview. Bob, long may your banner wave. I for one will never forget you! God bless, old friend.”
