He was predeceased by : his stepmother Vicky Horney; his grandparents, Delores Crabtree, Esther Horney and Kenneth Horney; and his aunts and uncles, Beverly, Roger Osborne, Dorothy and Earl Ellis.

He is survived by : his wife Shelly Ann Horney of Jamestown; his parents, Stephen Horney Sr. and Deborah Ann Schroeder; his stepfather Roy Schroeder of Louisville, KY; his sisters, Heather Horney Moses (Jonathan Moses) and Stephanie Horney Stroker (Jim Stroker); his sons, Luke Stephen Horney, Alexander Kenneth Horney, Nicholas Edward Horney and Andrew Stephen Horney; his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Stroker, Sammantha Floyd, Kyle Kaminski, Addie Morgan, Jace Leslie, Larry, Tina Brown of Jamestown, Jody, Jeff, Joey Giannobile of Jamestown, Mark, Danielle, Parker, Carson and Paxton Brown of Jamestown; and his close friend Chris.
