Dorothy Gates Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2025, at the age of 95, Dorothy Gates (Jefferson, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sidley and Irma Sidley (Andrews) of Thompson, Ohio.; her husband Paul "Lyle" Gates; her son Jeffrey Alan Gates; and her siblings, Mary Louise Crocker, Jackie Loveland and James Sidley.
She is survived by: her children, Russ Gates (Pam), Ron Gates (Kim), Kelly Sholtis (Phil) and Paula Jurcenko (Brent Bauer); her grandchildren, Geoffrey Gates (Becca), Megan Stull (Kyle), Chris Sholtis, Kyle Sholtis (Racheal), Matt Gates, Ryan Gates, Halle Gates, Aly Seibert (Duston), Emily Jurcenko (Ashley Arabia), Alexandria Bauer, Katarina Huffman (Zach) and Jacob Bauer; her great grandchildren, Delaney, Fiona, Grayson, Taryn, Casen, Jaimy, Joseph, Benjamin, Quinnly and Haizley; and her sister Jeannette Hejduk (Thomas). She is also survived by five children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
