With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Otto (Jefferson, Ohio), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on March 17, 2026 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Otto and Mae Belle Otto (Hodge); his wife Shirley Lou Daniels; his children, Gary Otto and LuAnn Otto; and his siblings, Gale Otto, Dorothy Keel, Della Lane, Donald Otto and Dale Otto.

He is survived by: his children, Carlie Otto (J. J. Guardado), Ronald Otto and Linda Licate (Gerald); his grandchildren, Jamie Torres (Kevin), Michael Otto, Gerald Licate (Jennifer), Gennifer Dzura (John) and Lisa Fetters; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Shelby, Sierra, Carter, Gabriella, Moseley, Natalie and Amber; and his sisters, Martha Fortney (Greg) and Patty Otto. He is also survived by six great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jefferson Emergency Rescue, P.O. Box 294, Jefferson, OH 44047.
