He was predeceased by : his mother Joan Spurrier Richards; his wife Ethel; and his son Andy. He is survived by : his father William Alvin Richards; his daughters, Joanna Culver (Tucker) and Brittany Wood (Ryan); his daughter-in-law Tricia Richards; his grandchildren, Tirzah Curry, Nessa Culver, Payton Culver, Aubrey, Emerson Wood, Kylie, Evie and Declan Richards; and his siblings, Susan, Curt, John, Leeann and Allison. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (101 W Main St, Scio, OH 43988). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hanover Cemetery (Scio, OH 43988).
