With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry David Humphrey of Johnstown, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry David left this world on April 27, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaylon Humphrey and Florence Marjorie Humphrey (Grubb). He is survived by: his wife Sonia "Sunny" Humphrey (Stein); his children, Cindy Reed (Grant), Christie McVeigh (Richard) and Andy Humphrey (Amy); his grandchildren, Isaac, Caleb, Alistair, Annie, Aaron, Andrew, Josie, Katie and Daniel; and his brother Dan Humphrey (Barbara). He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

“Dear Humphrey family- So sorry to hear that Larry has passed away. What a legacy this man left for all of us to aspire to. He was a giant and a mentor to me and someone I learned a lot from. He never had a bad word for anyone and was always positive if you ever got a chance to speak with him. He never took his eyes off the goal and this day, he is enjoying the fruits of his eternal home. God bless his entire family during this time of reflection.”
