She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel E. Lowery and Florence M. Lowery (Graham); her husband Dwight Burris; her siblings, Bonnie Lowery, John Lowery and Sam Lowery; and her son-in-law James Smothers.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Smothers and David Burris (Karen); her brother Melvin Lowery; her sister-in-law Connie Lowery; and her grandchildren, Deborah Smothers, Brandy Middlemus (Chris), Timothy Ramsey and David Burris, II. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
