We are sad to announce that on May 25, 2025, at the age of 89, Donald Anthony Turnwald of Kalida, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Turnwald and Tharsilla Turnwald (Frederick); his siblings, Jerry Turnwald (Frankie), Gip Turnwald (Bern), Mary Moeggenborg (Leo), Paul "Duke" Turnwald (Martha), Theresa Becker (Norman) and Ruth Ann Turnwald; and his sister-in-law Joan Turnwald.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Niese of Leipsic; his children, Sandy Westrick (Mike), Denny Turnwald (Blyth), Cindy Koch (Bill), Ed Turnwald (Theresa), Elida, Karen Schroeder (Jeff), Dan (Kathy), Steve and Terry (Jodi); his grandchildren, Andy, Stacy Campbell, Nickey Grismore, Christy Altstaetter, Amy Langhals, Mandy, Sam, Ben Schroeder, Elizabeth, Michael Turnwald, Emily Turnwald Youngblood, Adam, Nick Turnwald, Abbey Burgei, Jimmy, Michael Sharrits, Brian, Aaron Mershman, Rachel Thompson, Jonathan, Grace, Rose, Clare Turnwald, Josh, Skylar Turnwald and Maddie Kloepfer; his brother Art Turnwald of Ottoville; his friends, Arnie, Rich, Earl, Bill, Gene Deters, Jerry Heitmeyer, Bob Hamburg and Paul Schimmoeller; and his caregiver Ann.
Covid tried its hand on him, but Don slipped away from that as well - a couple of times!
