He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Barney" Phillips and Bessie Clara Phillips (Reed); and his siblings, Howard Lee Phillips, Alice Louise "Gabby" Draper and Susan Lynn Kinsey.

He is survived by: his wife Malinda Phillips (Lutz); his daughters, Patricia Martin (Eric) and Vicki Rollins (Charles); his grandchildren, Elijah Martin, Isaac Martin and Alexis Rollins; and his siblings, Florence "Flossie" Spack, Clara Anne Ginter and Walter "Hotshot" Phillips. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Winona Friends Church.
