He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schell and Erma Schell; and his brothers, Carl J. and Eric "Gary". He is survived by: his sister Myra (Bob); his sibling's children, Sharon (John), Diane, Carl T., Nancy and Jennifer; and his great-nieces, Heather, Caitlyn and Ana.
