He is survived by: his wife Sue Jones; his children, Mark Shannon (Deborah), John Shannon (Jessica), Christine Rainey (Charles), Joseph Shannon (Laura) and Carolyn Shannon; his grandchildren, Courtney (Smith), Nicholas, Michael Shannon, Zachary, Clay, Jaret Shannon, Zoe Frederick (Collier), Raphael Rainey, Ava, Lane, William Shannon, Hannah, Jared and Ian Burkey; his siblings, Anthony Shannon (Lynne), John Shannon (Lorrie), Timothy Shannon (Kathi Williams), Robert Shannon (Sue), Mary Jo Emerick (Larry), William Shannon and James "Dee" Shannon (Michelle); and his sister-in-law Marsha Somers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
