He was predeceased by: his father Gus Thomas; his wife Linda Thomas; his siblings, Thelma Thomas, Velma Strimple and Bill Thomas; and his son-in-law William McMullen.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald A. Thomas (Lisa), Lisa McMullen and Tricia Murello; his grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Trevor, Shannon, Anthony, Cody, Billie Jo and Alicia; his great grandchildren, Yuna, Loclan, Jolene and Emily; and his siblings, Dorothy Allen and Richard Thomas.
