She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Rose and Myrna Rose (Hesketh); her brothers, Vernon Rose, Alfred Rose and Melvin Rose; her mother-in-law Essie DeLong; and her siblings-in-law, Norman Appleton, Bruce Goodman, Don Fortner, Catherine Fortner, Jodi Inman and Julie DeLong.

She is survived by: her husband Martin DeLong; her brother Ron Rose (Kim); her daughters, Kim Hites (Jason), Rebecca Mermann (Michael) and Melinda Rose Campbell; her grandchildren, Bryce Williams, Seth Mermann, Ty Williams, Sierra Harvey (JD) and Legacie Mermann; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Borger (Larry), Martha Weihrauch (Ron), Sheila Ward (Mike), Cheryl Minix (Danny), Richard Jr. DeLong (Jane), Carl DeLong (Sondra) and Jack DeLong. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that were more like grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Doris's honor may be made to the Hardin County Humane Society.
