He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Putnam; his sons, Scott Douglas (Heidi) and David Wayne (Mary); his wife Helen Michele (Gregg); his daughter Kelly Michele (McLaughlin); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Oates (Mejia), Stephen Oates, Ryan Oates, Tessa Oates (Jodar) and John McLaughlin.
