She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Worthington and Harriet Worthington (Jackson); her husband James L. McPherson; her son Timothy A. Tate; her siblings, Orville, Oscar, William, Vincent Worthington, Jeanette Woodley and Rowena Worthington; Lawrence D. Tate.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Tina A. Elliott of Marion, Thomas A. Tate (Kimberly) of Findlay, Serena Smith (Lee) of Findlay and Sawie Nebo of Minnesota; and her siblings, Martha Woodley of Lima and Curtis Worthington (Helen) of Kenton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
