He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Barker and Phyllis Barker (Holcomb); and his brother Ron Barker. He is survived by: his children, Mallory Barker of Kenton and Logan Barker of Kenton; his brothers, Kenny Barker (Martha) of Alger and Don Barker of Kenton; his siblings-in-law, Dawn Barker of Kenton and Kevin France of Mt. Victory; and his pets, Bella, Rae and Bane. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
