We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2023, at the age of 96, Martha Jean Gearhart (Kingston, Ohio), born in Chillicothe, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Egbert Freshour and Glyde Freshour; her brother Tom Freshour; her husband Paul Wendell Gearhart; her sister Nancy Benzing; her brother-in-law James Benzing; her nephew Glenn Benzing; and her cousin Kathryn Miller.
She is survived by : her children, Suzanne Boren (Bill Castle), David Gearhart (Mary Lou) and John Gearhart (Janice); her grandchildren, Jacob Gearhart (Stacey), Jenna Smith (John) and Justin Gearhart (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Hudson, Hayden Gearhart, Henrick and Rhys Smith; and her nephews, Bruce Benzing (Joann), James Benzing (Donna) and Martin Benzing (Pauline).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pioneer School (11268 County Road 550, Chillicothe, OH, 45601) or the Ross County 4-H Program – OSU Extension (475 Western Avenue, Ste. F, Chillicothe, Ohio, 45601) or any preferred charity.
