She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Virgil Burnice and Verna Candace McCarty (Roach); her husband Clarence Ray Short; her children, Candace Newcomb, Jennifer Short and Jonathan Short; her grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Mazee and David; her great grandchildren, Asher and Axel; and her nieces, Missy, Vanessa, Lori, Jackie, Cindy (Travis Castle) and Kala (Josh Hager).
