With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Metcalf (La Rue, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Metcalf and Ethel Metcalf (Levacy). He is survived by: his significant other Judy Reynolds; his sons, James Metcalf (Caroline) of Bucyrus, John Metcalf (Sandy) of New Bloomington, Jeff Metcalf (Jeri) of Stow and Jody Metcalf (Jansi) of Lewis Center; his grandchildren, Michael Metcalf (JoBeth), Matthew Metcalf, Mason Metcalf (Lacey), Alex Metcalf, Chloe Callow (Joe), Joseph Metcalf, Harrison Metcalf (Sarah), Robert Straveler and David Straveler; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Maeve, Macey and John; and his brother-in-law Gary "Butch" Reynolds (Marilyn).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home (210 S High St, La Rue, OH 43332). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
