He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Squire and Mildred M. Squire; his wife Janet; his brothers, Gerald and Earl Squire; his granddaughter Claudia; and his daughter-in-law Tamatha Squire.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Brietkrenz (Jerry), Jay Squire (Michele) and Steven Squire; his grandchildren, Joanne Phillips (Chris), Jon Brietkrenz (Alyssa), Cordellia Squire and Adam Brietkrenz (Katelyn); and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Dominick, Carygan, Jayce, Damion, Amy, Clayton and Joslyn.
