He is survived by: his siblings, Steven Hlava (Pala), Matt Hlava (Juli) and Lorin Szalai (Dennis); his siblings' children, Brianna Hlava (Connor Johnson), Evan Hlava, Dennis Szalai (Gabi) and Kathryn Szalai; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Essa, Easton and Deacon Szalai; his stepdaughter Shannon Sweeney; and his stepgranddaughter Lola Connor.
