He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Jones and Dorothy Jones; and his siblings, Gregory, William, James, John, French, Robert, Ralph Jr., Roger, Audrey Samples Sauders, Judy Lowther, Emily Schaller Branham, Delores Akers and Ona Schultz.
He is survived by: his wife Freda; his children, David Jones (Jana), Sandra Barker (Dale) and Elizabeth Muncey (Will); his grandchildren, Colton Jones (Jessica), William Hammons Jr. (Cait), Kyleigh Jones, Shannon Barker Simmons (Isaiah), Courtney Jones, McKayla Barker Angell (Charlie) and Rebecca Hammons (Jeffery); and his great grandchildren, Madilynn Hammons, Carter Williams, Jordan Smith and Ryleigh Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vine Community Church (502 N Center St, Lagrange, OH 44050). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the River Road Cemetery.
