He was predeceased by: his son Jason Rice; and his half-brother Gary Miller. He is survived by: his son Eldred E. "Gene" Rice; his father Gene; his grandson Joseph Rice of Lakeview; and his half-brothers, Harry Miller of Anna, OH and Barry Miller of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
