David G. Komisar Obituary
In loving memory of David G. Komisar of Lakewood, Ohio, who departed this world on February 2, 2025 at the age of 70. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresa Komisar (Studinary) and George Komisar; and his sister Joanne DeSantis (Komisar). He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Cola (Joseph Cola); his sister Beatrice Janowski (Steve Janowski); and his brother-in-law Vincent DeSantis. He is also survived by neighbors and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Krabill Lodge (7597 Ballash Rd, Medina, OH 44256). The military honors will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Military Honors Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a veterans' organization or wildlife conservation group of your choice, in recognition of David's service and passions.
