He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Etta; his son David (late Veronica); and his parents, Clyde Bitter and Thelma Bitter. He is survived by: his sister Suzanne Berwind (Howard); his sons, Donald (Kelley) and Douglas (Katherine); his grandchildren, Ann (Donna), Ashly (Michael Codispoti), Donald (Olivia), Amanda (Eric Wood), Shelby, Andrew (Madison), Sara and Kaitlyn; and his great grandchildren, Alex Hickle, Carter Greene, Zoey Bitter, Chloey Bitter, Oliver Wood and Thomas Bitter.
Remembrances may be sent to St. Peter's Church, or to the Class of 1946, Lakewood High School Alumni Foundation.
