She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Young and Evelyn Young (Crowson); her brother John S. Young; and her brother-in-law Carl Shaffer. She is survived by: her sisters, Wilma L. Shaffer and Mary B. Huff (Kenneth); her daughter Melanie Norman Kindig; and her granddaughter Lillian "Lilly" Louise (Penelope "Poppy" Frances). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
