We announce the death of Dorothy Olive of Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 88. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph F. Krannitz and Mary Magdalene Krannitz (Schrader); and her sons, Mark Olive and Dale Olive II. She is survived by: her husband Dale E. Olive I; her son Dennis E. Olive (Christy) of Lancaster; her daughter-in-law Barb Olive of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Torry Olive (Carrie), Derrek Olive and Kaitlyn Olive; her great grandchildren, Eli and Piper Olive; and her sister Ann Kilbarger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheridan Funeral Home (222 S Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption (132 S High St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Saint Mary Cemetery (1500 S Broad St, Lancaster, OH 43130).
