He was predeceased by : his parents, Ervin Hay and Mausia Hay (Kelly); his wife Wanda Cordle; his brothers, Elza, Darrel, Evan, Earl and Delmar; and his grandson-in-law Paul Sparks.

He is survived by : his children, Tina Stammler (Gary) and Ernie Hay; his granddaughters, Amanda Dunlevy (Joe) and Sarah Swies (Jonny); his great grandchildren, Taizsha, Tiona, Michael, Malachi, Parker, Aiden, Maggie, Macayne, Myla, Ellie and Eloise; his sister Loena Hay of Kentucky; and also, Michael Taylor, Jessica and Thomas Bethel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home (650 W Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the TBD St. John Xxiii Catholic Church (5170 Winchester Southern Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110).
