He was predeceased by: his father Dick Hachtel; and his sister Sheri Bauer. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hachtel (Claar); his children, Pamela Neff (Shane) of Bexley, Ohio and Michael James Hachtel (Erin) of Bowling Green, Ohio; his grandchildren, Casey Spangler, Rees Spangler, Lucas Spangler, Henry Hachtel, Cassidy, Alyce and Oliver Neff; his brothers, Tom Hachtel (Sandy) of Oregon, David Hachtel (Debbie) of Arkansas and Don Hachtel (Dawn) of Plain City, Ohio; and his brother-in-law Jerry Bauer of Huron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
James Eugene Hachtel 78 of Lancaster, Ohio passed on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Country Lane Gardens from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.
