She is survived by: her husband James Nixon; her daughters, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Chiles (Gary), Jennifer "Jennie" Shuman (Lewis) and Joanna Vanderbilt (Peter); her grandchildren, Jessica, Heather, Kaitlyn, Patrick and Anna; her great grandchildren, Jenna and Brookelynn; her sister-in-law Rosie Vermilion; and her nephews, Matthew and Michael Vermilion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Joyce's memory.
