She was predeceased by: her parents, John Darfus and Clara Kitchen Darfus (Kitchen); her son Scott R. Wharton; her grandchildren, Rachael Garrabrant Maxwell, Angela Bare Taylor and Jesse W. Hodge; and her sister Jaqueline Wharton.
She is survived by: her children, Clarise Raymond (Bill) of Columbus, Vickey Bare (Ted) of Johnstown and Suzette Charvat (Jeff) of Lancaster, Ohio; and her sisters, Phyllis Kuhn of Lancaster and Joan Wedge of Lancaster. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
