It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd Tobias of Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lloyd Tobias to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd D. Tobias, and Jean F. Tobias, Jr. (Campbell); and his grandparents, Vera and Lloyd Tobias, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Frances M. Tobias (Nimon); his daughter Laurie Spangler (Rob); his grandchildren, Robby Spangler and Rachael Spangler; his stepsons, Don Kiger and Andrew Kiger (Christa); his stepgrandchildren, Austin Kiger (Olga Kovaleia), Adam, Andrew (Mary Hippler), Noah, Jacob, Samson and Maximus Kiger; his great grandchildren, Leo and Serenity Kiger; his siblings, Gregory Tobias (Donna), James Tobias (Jane Graham), Jane Miller (Jim) and Celeste Grider (Brian); and his cousins, Dixie Fanning and Cinda King (Rick). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sheridan Funeral Home (222 S Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption (132 S High St, Lancaster, OH 43130).
