She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Burns; her stepfather Robert Burns; her father Eugene Geil; and her siblings, Carolyn Boynton and Robert Burns (Bobby).
She is survived by: her husband Jack LaVeck; her children, Cynthia LaVeck of Bloomingburg, Ohio and Jack LaVeck (Brenda) of Carroll, Ohio; her grandchildren, Maeve O'Connor and Collin LaVeck; her great grandchild Grace O'Connor; and her sister Bonnie Pelzer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home - Lancaster (405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel (405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130).
