She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Shonebarger and Margaret Mary Shonebarger (Cole); her husband William R. Competti; and her brothers, Leo, Paul, Robert, Harry and Rev. Thomas Shonebarger.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Anne Rider (Carlton) of Lancaster, Karen Clark (Steve) of Belmont, OH, Therese Karnes (Stephen) of Canal Winchester, Judy Bonham (Neil) of Lancaster, Robert Competti (Beth) of Buckeye Lake and James Competti (Mary) of Quaker City, OH.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Watson, Jeffrey Rider (Kristen), Jeremy Rider (Robyn), Kellie Cole (Phil), Katie Dills, Andrew Clark (Sarah), Joseph Kovell, Dominic Kovell, Maria Kovell, James Kovell (Liz), Catherine McGovern (Brian), Allison Gothard (Brad), William Seipel (Maddie), Jessica Royster (Mareion), Erin Arter (Patrick), Dominic Competti, Ryan Competti (Raven) and Loryn Competti (Jack); her stepgrandsons, Aaron Jurden (Chloe), Wes Jurden (Ava) and Nolan Jurden (Erica); and her sisters, Helen Walker, Mary Margaret Kilbarger, Bernadine Soles, Agnes Carlton and Patricia Gemperline. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Vincent DePaul Society in memory of William Competti, one of the 10 charter members, or William V. Fisher Catholic High School, or Fairhope Hospice.
