Virgil Fields Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virgil Fields of Lancaster, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ava Fields (Cogdill); his parents, Slaney Fields and Nora Fields (Bays); and his siblings, Sallie Fields, Carrie Calder, Bessie Walters, Lorene Shook, Darlene Hiatt, Cleston, Burt, Bill and Jim Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Margarett Fields (Robert Lee), Robert Fields (Deborah), Debra Fields (Brian Barnes), Linda Anderson (Rick), Darrell Fields (Annitta) and Christine Fields. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and many great and great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Taylor-Theller Funeral Home (111 W Main St, Amanda, OH 43102). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chappell Cemetery.
