He was predeceased by: his parents, Walther Lyman and Anna Mae Sanford Ziegler; and his sister Ellen Dunn. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ziegler; his sons, David, Paul (Lauran) and Andrew (Cate); his grandson Bryan; his siblings, Robert Ziegler (Ruth) and Mary Ann Layton (Donald); and his brother-in-law Donald Dunn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's name to the Fairfield County District Library or the Fairfield County Heritage Association.
