He was predeceased by: his brothers, Elbert and Norman. He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his children, Linda Montgomery (Larry) and Daniel Midkiff (Cindy); his grandchildren, Danielle, Christopher, Eric, Chelsea, MacKenzie and MaKayla; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Chandler, Paige, Skylar, Corinna, Fiona, Joe, Olivia, Savannah, Divon, Noah, Nicoma, Aspen, Evan and Brenna.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rutland Civic Center (337 Main St, Rutland, OH 45775). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
